Your host: Kai Teggemann

Kai Teggemann and his wife, Petra, have lived in and explored the Rheingau area with a passion for the region and its people for over 20 years. On the strength of his wide-ranging knowledge, Kai founded the company Kai's Rhine Valley in 2008. His previous experience as hotelier and event manager was a further asset.

Born in Bremen in 1965, his résumé includes organising high-level events at the luxurious Scottish resort of Gleneagles, and working in the management team of the world-famous La Manga Club in Spain. Experience that helped him recognize what guests really value.

He is a keen pilot, speaks English and Spanish fluently, and has travelled and lived abroad for extended periods. But of all the places he has been in the world, he still feels most at home on his beloved Rhine.

True to the motto "Discover Hidden Treasures", Kai's multinational guests experience the region like the natives. His day trips are conceived with a discerning eye for the details: lesser-known destinations and a wealth of cultural and culinary experiences. They also leave time to enjoy niceties such as regional specialties and encounters with the locals.
